A true collector’s dream—this Louis Vuitton Multicolor Alma PM in White is a rare 2011 re-release, crafted in Italy for a very limited time. It’s highly unusual to find a Murakami piece Made in Italy, making this a truly special find.
A Fusion of Art & Luxury
Designed in collaboration with renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, this bag features the iconic 33-color monogram print on white canvas, originally launched in 2003 under Marc Jacobs’ creative direction. Golden hardware, including the elegant zipper and studded leather base, enhances its luxurious appeal.
This 2011 edition is nearly a decade newer than the original release, and some collectors believe it showcases even finer craftsmanship. Notably, it features a slightly thicker lining compared to its 2003 counterpart.
Condition:
- Excellent overall, with light wear and character marks to the leather. Leather is a lighter more new tone, not the darker gold.
- Minor marks on the bottom and a small stain near the base of the front edge trim (see photos).
- Handles have a couple of scuff marks, adding character while still looking great.
- Clochette shows slight leather wear and character marks.
- Hardware is shiny gold, with some light surface scuffs.
- Interior is very clean and scent-free.
- Zipper fabric remains bright white.
- Double zipper closure runs smoothly.
- Canvas is vibrant, strong, and maintains excellent structure.
- As expected for a bag from 2011, any additional slight character wear adds to its vintage charm.
